Inspired by his daughter, Akeem Banks’ debut book, I am Strong embarks on a journey with a young girl who discovers all the ways a person can be strong. From meditating to standing up to bullies, this children’s book captures the diversity of strength, support and perseverance. After reading the book, there will be an opportunity for participants to draw or write what makes them strong. This will be followed a bodyweight exercise activity and a meditation activity to explore different ways we can be strong. For kids ages 5-9. Parents must remain nearby in the library.
